A dead man was found in a van parked at a New Jersey train station, police say.
The grisly discovery happened Saturday, while a patrolman was conducting a property check at the Denville Train Station just after 12:30 p.m.
Denville Patrolman Mike Lucas spotted a white freightliner Sprinter van with Maine license plates. The body was in the back of the vehicle, which was reported stolen in New York on Feb. 12, said Morris County Prosecutor Robert A. Bianchi.
The matter is under investigation by the Morris County Prosecutor's Office, Denville police, sheriff's criminal investigation section, county medical examiner, NJ Transit police and the New York City Police Department, Bianchi said.
