A young black bear eluded capture and took a two-hour break and nap at a New Jersey golf course.
The young bruin was first spotted in a residential neighborhood in Cresskill on Sunday. Police were called, but the animal eluded its pursuers.
The bear ended up near the 4th hole at the Knickerbocker Country Club golf course in Bergenfield.
Club assistant general manager Rod Clement says about 100 members were on the course at the time. They were told about the bear and avoided the hole. The bear did not interrupt play. After resting a while, the bear took off.
