The birth of Jay-Z and Beyonce's baby Blue Ivy Carter on Saturday caused such a fuss at Lenox Hill hospital that other parents in the maternity ward were upset about the disruption.
Neil Coulon, of Brooklyn, told reporters that he was stopped several times from seeing his premature twin girls because the famous duo's entourage was using the hallway.
“This is the NICU. Nobody cares if you’re a celebrity. Nobody is star-gazing. They just want to see their children,” said Coulon.
“To have that circus roll into town and ruin our parade was unpleasant,” added Coulon, whose wife was recovering from a C-section.
The superstar couple said in a statement Monday that they were in "heaven" after the natural birth of their daughter.
"It was the best experience of both of our lives," the pair said. They did not address complaints about the hospital security issues.
According to published reports, unnamed hospital staffers said Beyonce and Jay-Z had paid big bucks to renovate a wing of the hospital as part of their plan to guard their privacy for the big event.

Renovations included a bulletproof door and windows specially darkened to prevent anyone from seeing in, according to the New York Post.
In a statement Monday, the hospital did not address the renovation reports but said the couple was being housed in an executive suite available for all patients "and is being billed the standard rate for those accommodations."
The hospital also said it has made "every effort to ensure minimal disruption to other families" and that none of its security plans would have prevented NICU access.
Also Monday, Jay-Z released a new song for his baby girl.
