You don’t have to travel very far to get some of the country’s best Buffalo wings.
Three of the top 25 wings are right here in New York City, according to The Daily Meal, a national food website.
Wogies, with locations in Greenwich Village and the Financial District, came in at No. 24 on The Daily Meal’s “America’s 25 Best Buffalo Wings” list. The food website says the heat level of the wings is “spot on.” “This classic sports bar serves classically delicious wings with no frills — they're crunchy, spicy, perfectly sauced, and addictive.”
Next on the list is Daddy-O, a popular West Village bar. It sits at No. 21. The famous food website claims the eatery’s “little red wine vinegar, honey, and tomato sauce makes its way into the hot sauce-butter blend” is the perfect concoction.
Bonnie’s Grill in Brooklyn ranks No. 4 on the list. The website notes its “flawless, Buffalo-style wing sauce.” “They're served steaming hot with just the right amount of sauce,” The Daily Meal says of the eatery.
We must also mention the other New York and Connecticut eateries that made the list. Although a bit of haul, the trip is worth it. Gabriel’s Gate and Anchor Bar both in Buffalo land at No. 11 and No. 3 on the list, respectively. J Timothy’s Taverne in Plainville, Connecticut ranks No. 2 in the country.
Upstate New York’s Duff’s Famous Wings ranks as the best in the nation. Even former President Barack Obama has paid this eatery a visit.
