And the Best Beach in New Jersey Is …

Ocean City has once again taken top honors in a contest that lets people choose their favorite New Jersey shore beach.

The Cape May County resort topped this year's vote as best overall beach in the New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium survey, followed by Wildwood Crest.

The group changed the rules this year, allowing voters to select top beaches in each of the state's four coastal counties.

In Monmouth County, the winners were: Sandy Hook; Asbury Park; Spring Lake; Belmar and Long Branch.

Seaside Heights, Point Pleasant Beach, Beach Haven, Island Beach State Park, and Surf City led Ocean County.

In Atlantic County, winners were: Brigantine; Atlantic City; Margate; Longport, and Ventnor.

In Cape May County, winners were: Ocean City; Wildwood Crest; North Wildwood; Wildwood, and Sea Isle City.
