A New Jersey woman is charged with manslaughter after a New York City woman died following botched silicone butt injections performed at a Meatpacking District hotel, authorities said.
Police said Tamira Mobley, 28, met 22-year-old Tamara Blaine at the Liberty Inn on 10th Avenue, a well-known hotel that specializes in hourly rates, for the alleged injections last summer.
According to a criminal complaint, the two women arranged the appointment through emails and text messages, and had met for three prior appointments.
The complaint says Mobley arranged the room for two hours on July 8.
EMTs were called to the room at midday, and found Blaine on a bed, barely conscious, and Mobley in the room, according to the complaint. She was pronounced dead at a hospital, and an autopsy revealed she died from a silicone injection on her rear end.
The medical examiner said the silicone went into her veins, asphyxiating her.
Authorities say Mobley has discussed other injection appointments with other women over the past two years.

She is charged with second-degree manslaughter and first-degree assault.
There was no attorney information on file for Mobley.
