A 35-year-old pregnant woman was found stabbed to death in the lobby of an apartment building in Queens, police and law enforcement sources said.
Jennifer Irigoyen, of Rego Park, was found in the lobby of her apartment building on Myrtle Avenue in Ridgewood around 1 a.m. Sunday, the NYPD said.
Irigoyen had been stabbed in the neck and torso, according to police. She was taken to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, police said.
Irigoyen was a realtor who her building superintendent described as a "sweetheart."
“You would’ve fallen in love with her because she’s such a sweetheart," super Lisa Romos said. "She was a sweetheart, really really nice girl.”
Law enforcement sources said Irigoyen was five months pregnant. Police previously received five calls reporting domestic disputes that involved Irigoyen and an ex-boyfriend, the sources said.
