Police say the wreck happened at about 2:45 p.m. Sunday in Brooklyn's Dyker Heights neighborhood, which draws big crowds and heavy traffic throughout December because of its over-the-top holiday decorations.

Officials identified the victim as Helen Malinowski, of Brooklyn.

Police said she was riding in a livery cab when it was hit in an intersection by a car driven by a 72-year-old woman.
