A United flight to Newark was diverted to London on Sunday due to a medical emergency on the busy travel weekend, the airline said.
United Airlines Flight 31 departed from Munich, Germany, when several passengers complained of feeling lightheaded, passenger Peter Teoh tweeted.
The plane diverted to London's Heathrow Airport, United said. Emergency personnel boarded the flight and took one of them off the plane, the airline said.
All the passengers had to get off the plane and were rebooked on other flights, although not necessarily on Sunday, Teoh tweeted.
Sunday was one of the busiest travel days of the year in the U.S. as people returned from the Thanksgiving holiday.
