Authorities are investigating after a construction worker died in a fall at a skyscraper in midtown Thursday.
The 52-year-old worker fell from a high-rise building at 1301 Sixth Avenue around 2:30 p.m. and landed on a second-floor deck.
It wasn't immediately clear how many stories the victim fell. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to a spokesman for New Line Structures, the victim was the owner of Crowne Architectural Systems, an independent subcontractor working on the site.
There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing. The victim's identity is being withheld pending proper family notification.
