A 4-year-old girl died in a fall from a fourth-floor window in the Bronx, police said.
Helena Flores fell just before 5 p.m. from a window of her apartment on 140th Street in the Mott Haven neighborhood, the NYPD said.
Police sources said an 18-year-old woman was watching the child while her mother napped in the apartment. The girl slipped out of supervision and fell from a window to the concrete ground in the back of the building.
She was pronounced dead at Lincoln Hospital, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
