Officials say an adult was seriously hurt and nine children suffered lesser injuries when a yellow school bus jumped a curb and crashed into the front of a Brooklyn bank.
A spokesman for the fire department says the accident occurred at 7:43 a.m. Tuesday on West 63rd Street and Avenue U.
All those injured have been transferred to hospitals.
The spokesman did not know what caused the accident.
The Department of Education said the bus was from a private company hired by parents, not the city.
The children are students at I.S. 239 in Brooklyn, a middle school.
A call to the bus company was not answered.
