1 Injured as Small Plane Slams into House in Connecticut: Police

The crash occurred near Eagle Landing State Park

The pilot of a small plane was seriously injured Saturday when his aircraft crashed into a house in Connecticut, authorities said.

State police identified the pilot as Benjamin Temple, 46, of East Rockaway, New York. Information about his condition was unavailable.

The single-engine aircraft crashed at around 4 p.m. near Eagle Landing State Park in Haddam, state police said.

The homeowner was watching television inside his house, but wasn't injured.

Eversource, a local utility company, was also on the scene because power lines were downed and about 300 customers had no power, state police said.
