Four Shootings in Brooklyn left one man dead in a hail of bullets and four people wounded, police said Saturday.
Just before midnight, police responding to a 911 call at the Glenwood Houses in Canarsie found 24-year-old Donnell Smith, of 885 E. 56th St., with multiple gunshot wounds in his torso. Smith was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
At least 36 shots were fired at the public housing complex, police said.
"It's not right," Ronald Gressom told NBC 4 New York. "People shooting and carrying on? It's no way to live."
One of the bullets lodged in the roof of Gressom's minivan.
Three people were wounded early Saturday in a shooting at 5 Parkside Court in the Prospect Lefferts Gardens neighborhood. A gunman approach a group of people and opened fire, police said.
A 34-year-old man was shot in the leg, a 47-year-old man was hit in the foot and a 26-year-old woman was shot in the thigh, investigators said. The victims' names were not released.

In another shooting, a 29-year-old man, whose name wasn't disclosed, was shot in the face and chest at a house at 1066 E. 38th St., police said. The man was taken to Kings County Hospital. Information about his condition wasn't available.
At about 3 a.m. Saturday, a 36-year-old man, whose name wasn't disclosed, was shot in the hand during an attempted robbery by 3 individuals, investigators said. The victim was taken to Lutheran Medical Center and listed in stable condition, police said.
No arrests have been made in the shootings.
