Daniel Penny appears in court for pretrial hearing

A retired Marine charged in a deadly chokehold on the subway in 2023 returned to court Thursday in the a case that captivated the country. Daniel Penny faces charges of manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide charge in the death of Jordan Neely. He was in court Thursday for an all-day hearing regarding evidence that could be presented in trial. NBC New York’s Erica Byfield reports.
