Congestion pricing countdown: Hochul nixes proposal for higher tolls on some days
The country’s first and only congestion pricing plan is set to kick in for drivers entering part of Manhattan starting Jan. 5. Drivers are not the only one bracing for the new fees — entire neighborhoods are. In the latest move before the plan is enacted, Gov. Kathy Hochul struck down a proposal that would have made fees even higher on some high-traffic days. NBC New York’s Andrew Siff reports.
