Bronx Pumpkin Smash Event Reduces Landfill Waste

The New York Botanical Garden hosted a pumpkin smashing event at Lehman College in the Bronx on Nov. 2. Both students and members of the community came together to destroy their Halloween pumpkins for composting purposes. There are five similar upcoming events throughout the city.
