It was making for a difficult Friday morning commute.

The MTA is warning of subway delays on several lines Friday after someone was hit by a train at Delancey Street.

Service on the J, M and Z lines was suspended between Brooklyn and Manhattan for much of the peak commute time. It was restored with delays by about 10 a.m.

A number of other subway lines were reporting delays.

According to police, the person hit by the train was already on the tracks as the subway pulled into the station. It wasn't clear how the individual got there. The person was pronounced dead at the scene.
