A scaffolding collapse in Manhattan injured three people, one of them critically, on Monday.
The Department of Buildings said it's on the scene of a sidewalk shed collapse which may have come after a box truck hit a structure on 29th Street near Eighth Avenue in Chelsea around 8 a.m.
Chopper 4 later captured firefighters surrounding the collapsed structure as a box truck sat, parked nearby. The city's Office of Emergency Management noted on X that people should avoid the area.
Three people were transported to a local hospital, according to the FDNY.
The 62-year-old driver of the truck stayed on scene and has been cooperating with police, according to the NYPD.
Video posted to the Citizen app showed a heavy emergency response, and surveillance shows the moment the structure comes down. Traffic delays and road closures are expected in the area.
