Shoe maven Christian Louboutin may be revered for his red-soled high heels, but it's his men's business that has spiked of late, spurring the designer to open a freestanding men's store in the Meatpacking District of New York -- his first outside of Paris.
According to WWD, Louboutin first started making men's shoes for friends, but soon started selling select styles in his existing boutiques before demand really picked up.
The new store will reportedly be just over 1,000 square feet, and is conveniently located near his existing Horatio Street shop. The store will stock a spectacular array of footwear from men, from a patent leather loafer with pearl tassels for more than $2,000 to glitter high tops for $895, according to WWD.
