Carl Paladino's campaign to become governor of New York doesn't include making nice to its biggest city -- or most of it, anyway.
The Buffalo Republican said during an address to supporters in upstate Hornell, N.Y. on Tuesday that he liked Queens and Staten Island because they were "just like us.''
He added, "that leaves Manhattan, the Bronx and Brooklyn -- and they can have them.''
Paladino complained that "you can't get around down there'' and "there aren't many Republicans.''
Nearly 3 of every 10 people in New York state live in the three boroughs.
The Buffalo News reported Paladino's remarks Friday.
