Governor's Island Goes Dutch for Fashion Week

The Fashion Week lineup continues to thrill, with Governor's Island hosting a 400 anniversary event, Pioneers of Change, which includes a Droog-sponsored Dutch pop-up shop and a house dressed by the fashion collective, Painted, which includes a tickle room.

With the pop-up featuring Dutch designs for great prices under $100, the tickle room-slash-torture chamber (to some) sounds a little, well, scary.  Ask us again in the throes of Fashion Week mayhem, and we may have a different take, but something about the frequency of the word 'caress' in the room's description has us bracing ourselves.

Physical contact aside, Governor's Island design offerings make a day of biking, picnicking and eccentric fun from Holland- field trip!.
