Four Seasons Co-Owner Julian Niccolini's Secret to 50 Years in Business

Last night, the City University of New York, CUNY, honored Julian Niccolini, the legendary co-owner of the Four Seasons Restaurant with a 2010 Best of New York Award (along with fellow alums, White House pastry chef Bill Yosses, Geraldo Rivera, and AFL-CIO Executive Director Lillian Roberts). Niccolini graduated from City Tech's hospitality management program in 1974 after moving to New York from Tuscany. Like the great Sirio Maccioni of Le Cirque, he puts a premium on the ultimate guest experience. Still, it takes a little something extra to keep a restaurant in business for over 50 years. Here, Niccolini shares his outlook for success.
