Clippings: Demi Moore's W Cover Edition (Updated)

- Demi Moore's certainly a sexy lady, but her most recent cover for W seems to have pushed many bloggers to their limits, accusing the magazine (and the photographers behind the cover, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott) of everything from airbrushing to taking a chunk out of her left hip. Demi responded on Twitter by posting what she claims to be the original photo, but now an image has surfaced that suggests W placed Demi's head on top model Anja Rubik's body (the model who actually wore the infamous Balmain dress down the runway). W maintains there was no unusual retouching done to the photograph. [OTND]

UPDATE: Photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott have officially confirmed that the image of Ms. Moore on W's cover has not been altered in any way, adding emphatically: "There was ABSOLUTELY no retouching on her hips or waist or legs!!" To double-confirm that the figure on W's cover is, indeed, 100% Moore, W's Creative Director added his two cents: "No one at the magazine did any retouching of the image of Demi Moore that was sent to us by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott." So that settles that.
