Kate Gosselin may soon be suiting up in her old scrubs after TLC airs the last remaining “Jon & Kate Plus 8” episodes next month.
The reality TV mom renewed her nurse’s license with the Pennsylvania Department of State on Monday, ETonline reported after digging up the official document.
With the future of “Jon & Kate” up in the air – Kate’s estranged hubby Jon has refused to let the Gosselin kids be filmed and TLC announced Tuesday that the last episode culled from remaining footage will air on Nov. 23 – the octomom could be weighing a return to her former career as a registered nurse in labor and delivery. The license was reportedly set to expire on Halloween.
"I am a mother first," she told Ellen DeGeneres in an interview set to air Wednesday. "I will always be a mother, and I would die for my kids if need be. ... This is my job. This is my paycheck, and so this is what I do."
On Monday, mama Gosselin said in a special one-hour “You Ask, Kate Answers” special that she hoped to remain a presence on the small-screen -- and make a play for Hollywood.
“I've discovered that I've done enough years of TV that it's a normal, natural place for me to be," she said. “I'd love to be in a movie. [Maybe] the voice of a cartoon character. For my kids. That would be fun!”
In the same special, Gosselin said she struggles with post-split fears that she will remain alone forever.
