Lauren Scala is an Emmy® Award-winning correspondent for NBC 4 New York’s daily lifestyle show "New York Live", where she continues to report on the newest restaurants, food trends and the latest happenings in the tri-state.

Scala was first seen on NBC 4 New York in 2008, appearing regularly as an on-air contributor for Time Out New York magazine. She officially joined WNBC in the spring of 2010 to host the station's Interactive Trivia Game and in 2011 became the traffic reporter for "Today in New York" for 10 years.

Scala got her start behind the scenes when she was just 19 years old. She has a diverse background in the entertainment industry that includes film, music, magazines, and television. She has worked for major companies like DreamWorks Pictures, MGM, Paramount Pictures, and J Records.

Scala is originally from Long Island and graduated from Fordham University in 2004, where she received a degree in Communications. She currently resides in Manhattan.
