You don't have to stay awake at work as a Mattress Firm intern.

The national mattress company said last week it's hiring what it's calling a "snoozetern" to help the its social media team tease product launches and assist customers in selecting the ideal bed.

The intern, who will be based at Mattress Firm's headquarters in Houston, will be responsible for testing beds, creating written and video reviews for the store's website, offering sleeping tips on Facebook Live streams and generating videos that highlight Houston residents' sleeping habits.

"We are excited to hire our first ever Snoozetern," said Chief Marketing Officer Scott Thaler in a news release. "It's not every day that an intern is hired to sleep on the job, but that's just one of many perks."

The job is paid but part time. Applicants must be 18 or older and "proficient in napping, regardless of time of day." But Mattress Firm also wants applicants to know how to use a variety of video editing software, according to the snoozetern website. Applications are due July 23.
