Police say a 20-year-old Long Island woman was killed and her three passengers were injured -- one critically -- after her car slammed into a concrete wall and landed on its side.
Diane Pereyra of New Cassel was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident in Glen Cove at 11:25 p.m. Thursday.
Nassau County police say she was driving on Sea Cliff Avenue when the car left the road, hitting the wall and a utility pole before coming to rest on the driver's side.
The passengers -- two women ages 18 and 19 and a 19-year-old man -- were taken to a hospital. The male victim suffered brain injuries and was in critical condition. The women's injuries were not considered life-threatening.
The cause of the accident hasn't been determined.
