A pilot and a passenger escaped uninjured when their plane caught fire after landing at a small New Jersey airport.

The two were aboard a single-engine Cessna 210 airplane that landed around 2:45 a.m. Sunday.

The fire broke out shortly after the plane landed at Sussex Airport in Wantage and was rapidly extinguished. The incident will not be classified as a crash, authorities say.

It is unclear where the plane departed. The pilot and the passanger have not been identified at this time.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the matter.
