A man who uses a wheelchair is being accused of robbing a bank in Queens for the second time in the last six months.
Prosecutors say Kelvin Dennison of Astoria entered a TD Bank branch on Queens Boulevard in Sunnyside Monday and handed a note to a teller demanding $20,000.
"I have a bomb. I will shoot," the note allegedly stated.
Dennison also claimed to have a gun during a June 29 robbery at a Santander Bank branch in Sunnyside. In that case, he allegedly wrote, "Give me all you have. I have a gun," according to the Queens district attorney's office.
Police say the teller gave Dennison $1,212 before he pushed himself out of the bank and fled in his wheelchair.
Dennison was arrested July 1 in that robbery and remained in jail until Sept. 4, when he entered a mental health treatment program that would have reduced his sentence on robbery to two years' probation. He was to stay in the program for at least a year, but he was kicked out of the program on Dec. 29, according to prosecutors.
The 23-year-old man now faces a felony robbery charge.
