Van Crashes Into Parked Cars, Building; 8 Hurt: FDNY

A van filled with passengers crashed into two parked cars before slamming into a building in the Bronx Monday night, injuring eight people, fire officials say.

A van filled with passengers crashed into two parked cars before slamming into a building in the Bronx Monday night, injuring eight people, fire officials say. 

The driver lost control of the van on Bruckner Boulevard and Brown Place in Mott Haven at about 9:15 p.m. and hit two parked cars before crashing into the commercial building, the FDNY said.

Eight people sustained minor injuries, including the van passengers and one person in the parked cars. They were all taken to Lincoln Hospital. 

It's not clear what caused the driver to lose control, and it's unclear where the van was coming from or headed.
