The MTA says it is looking into reports of a possible train fire at 145th Street after multiple social media users tweeted photos of a smoky, crowded station Friday.
There was no alert on the agency's website or Twitter account as of 8:20 a.m. The website said there was "good service" on the 1.
Photos and video posted to social media showed riders crowded on a platform. There was some smoke in the area. One person said the train was evacuated.
"My train caught on fire -- happy fridayyy," tweeted another user, @tweetlauf.
