Authorities are looking for the attacker they said beat a 15-year-old girl at a Bronx subway station on Monday.
Police were called to Montefiore Hospital after getting a call about a girl who had been severely beaten near the Gun Hill Road subway station in the borough’s Olinville neighborhood, according to the NYPD.
Police said that the girl had gotten off a northbound 2 train and was walking near the Bronx River at about 4 a.m. when her attacker set on her.
He beat and kicked her in the head several times before dragging her to a nearby park, where police said she was possibly sexually assaulted.
The girl was unconscious after the attack, but came to at about 6 a.m. A good Samaritan helped her and brought her to the hospital.
Police said the teen has bruising to her head, missing teeth and she might have broken her pelvis.
Detectives were seen in the park gathering evidence Monday afternoon, and residents living in the area said they were sickened and on edge after learning of the attacks.
