A man was arrested after allegedly outfitting a van with what appeared to be more than 50 individual speakers and leaving the doors open while blasting "exorbitantly loud" music in Queens over the weekend, authorities said.
Police say they received multiple noise complaints shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday in the area of 35th Avenue and 127th Street in Willets Point.
They found the absurdly designed van, confiscated it and arrested Nelson Hidalgo on charges of criminal nuisance, unreasonable noise, unlawful assembly and other offenses. It wasn't immediately clear if Hidalgo had an attorney.
The NYPD announced it had found the source of the loud music with a tweet.
