A school bus carrying special needs children collided with a taxi cab and flipped over in Brooklyn Monday afternoon, injuring nine people, including kids, officials say.
Six children had minor injuries and three adults were listed as seriously hurt after the accident at Halsey Street and Marcy Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, according to the NYPD and FDNY.
The bus was bringing the kids home from the Academy of Environmental Leadership when it crashed.
The children were described as having bumps and bruises.
"The impact was powerful," said Milton Rosa, a witness who helped rescue the children from the overturned bus. "There's always accidents at this corner, always accidents. Nothing we can do because of the way these people speed."
