Five people were hurt, one seriously, when a school bus carrying children crashed into a car and then hit a house in Queens on Thursday.
The small school bus was near Liverpool Street and Glassboro Avenue in Jamaica when the driver lost control and crashed into a sedan, officials said.
The bus was sent careening through a brick wall and into the wall of a two-story home, said officials.
A woman who was walking in the area was caught in the crash and suffered serious leg trauma with a partial amputation of her limbs, according to officials.
Two adults on the bus were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
"They take a bus matron out because she had her leg hurt," said Ramfy Baez, a 12-year-old boy who witnessed the accident.
Two other children were transported to the hospital with minor injuries as well.
