Police and relatives are searching a wooded area on Long Island after a 21-year-old woman vanished and her car was found parked about a mile from her home.
Suffolk County police say Sarah Goode, the mother of a 4-year-old girl, was last seen late Friday night, when she was out with friends in Shirley.
Her 1999 BMW was found about a mile from her home in Medford, parked on the street. Police say it is unusual that it was found there, but did not elaborate on what, if any evidence of her disappearance, was found inside.
A woman who lives on the street where the car was found told NBC 4 New York the car's license plates were bent, obscuring the numbers. Neighbors thought it was stolen and reported it to police.

Officers and about 60 family members and friends searched the woods near where the car was found Monday evening. They didn't find Goode.
"The thing that troubles us is the entire circumstances surrounding a 21-year-old Long Island girl that obviously needs her car and loves her car, and her car is found not near her house, late at night, unoccupied, parked next to a wooded area," Sixth Precinct Det. Sgt. Michael Fitzharris told Newsday. "This was very contrary to her normal behavior. She's very close to her family, which is large, and she has a 4-year-old daughter."

Goode's family said her phone goes straight to voicemail. She lives with her mother and daughter and works as a medical technician in Patchogue.
Goode is described as being about 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 100 pounds. She has long brown hair, brown eyes and a flower tattoo on one foot. Authorities released a photo of her (above).
