England's Prince Harry will visit the Jersey Shore next week, touring Mantoloking and other storm-ravaged communities before heading to a news conference in Seaside Heights with Gov. Chris Christie, sources confirmed to NBC 4 New York.
The heir to the British throne will take a short walk along Barnegat Lane, along the bay front, during a brief visit on May 14, Mantoloking Mayor George Nebel said.
Harry is visiting various areas of the country, and wanted to include areas of the Jersey Shore that were devastated by Sandy in October.
Nebel says security will be so tight that most residents won't get near the prince.
