Authorities responded to a raging blaze that consumed a Manhattan penthouse Thursday, causing part of it to collapse and leaving behind charred wreckage.
Chopper 4 showed firefighters crawling over the scene at the rooftop on East 13th Street around 4 p.m. Images on social media showed bright orange flames leaping through the structure.
The blaze was brought under control just after 4:30 p.m., fire officials said. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
