A van struck and killed a person in Newark, authorities say.
Details of the accident at Raymond Boulevard and Mulberry Street were not immediately clear. The Essex County prosecutor's office confirmed the accident was fatal but has not identified the victim.
Chopper 4 over the scene showed emergency responders attending to the crash. A white commercial van was parked on the street as investigators examined the vehicle. An NJ Transit double-long bus was stopped at an angle a short distance behind it; officials said the bus wasn't involved in the crash.
