A car jumped a curb and careened into a Starbucks on the Upper East Side on Monday, but no one was seriously injured in the crash on the busy Manhattan sidewalk.
Surveillance video from First Avenue and East 69th Street shows the black car veer from the center lane onto the sidewalk. The vehicle barely misses a pedestrian before slamming into the facade of the coffee shop, and bouncing off, the video shows.
Police say the driver of the car lost control of the vehicle before the cras, but it's unclear why. The driver and a pedestrian had minor injuries.
Several firefighters were seen at the crash site later Monday.
It's not clear how badly the Starbucks was damaged in the wreck.
