A New York City police officer has been arrested on rape and other charges, the NYPD says.
Arthur Roldan, 28, is accused in a July 31 incident on Staten Island, where he lives, police said. Roldan and the victim knew each other, and the officer was off duty at the time.
In addition to the rape charge, Roldan was charged with menacing and assault.
Roldan, a six-year veteran, is assigned to a Brooklyn precinct. He has been suspended from his job without pay.
Information on a lawyer was not immediately available.
