Investigators say the men have struck at least 17 times in the past month in Greenpoint and Williamsburg. Michael George reports.
Police are searching for at least two men suspected in more than a dozen burglaries in Brooklyn.
The first reported burglary was on Feb. 19, when the burglars entered a home, took car keys and then stole a woman’s car in Greenpoint.
The burglars struck a couple more times in February, then at least 14 times this month in Williamsburg, Bushwick and Greenpoint.
Streets across the three neighborhoods have been targeted, usually in the early morning hours, although one burglary on St. Patrick’s Day happened around 9 a.m.
In all, the two men are believed to have taken part in at least 17 burglaries over the last couple of months.
Besides a car, they’ve stolen, bank cards, electronics, cash and jewelry.
