Dozens of firefighters responded as flames tore through an apartment building in the West Village on Wednesday night.
The fire broke out at 130 Jane St. just before 11:20 p.m., according to fire officials. The blaze started on the upper floors and eventually spread to the roof, sending smoke billowing into the air.

“My partner Susan and I are fine, as are our dogs. We are most concerned for our neighbors, but we are grateful that no one, as far as we know, was hurt,” Maddow said in the statement.
