Some NJ Transit riders already beleaguered by weeks of delays in and out of New York due to ongoing Amtrak track work had their spirits dampened yet again Tuesday morning -- but this time, toilet water was apparently to blame.
A leaky toilet aboard an NJ Transit rush hour train out of Red Bank apparently caused water to flow down the lower aisle of one of the double-decker train cars, grossing out commuters.
Video posted to social media show the water running down the aisle of the train; enough pools on the floor that passengers and seats on one side of the car are reflected. It appeared to be seeping from a bathroom on the main level of the train between the two decks, flowing down the stairs and into the aisle.
