A 58-year-old woman was found dead in a basin in the back of an address linked to a Long Island pizzeria three days after she had been reported missing from her home, authorities said Tuesday.
Deborah O'Connor had last been seen at her Syosset home around 4 a.m. Thursday. Police said she was considered a "high-risk missing vulnerable adult," though they didn't elaborate on the reason for the classification at the time.
O'Connor's body was found around 3 p.m. Sunday in a sump in the back of the building on Jericho Turnpike; the address provided by police shows up as a local pizzeria near a strip mall.
Police say their investigation is ongoing, but no criminality is suspected. The medical examiner will determine how the woman died.
