A man was stabbed in the neck during an apparent robbery attempt in Times Square Sunday morning, police said.
The 58-year-old victim was approached by a 26-year-old man who demanded money from him at about 8:30 a.m. at West 47th and Eighth Avenue, authorities said.
During a struggle, the 58-year-old man was stabbed in the neck with a pair of scissors, police said. He was rushed to Bellevue Hospital and is expected to survive.
The police have a suspect in custody and charges against him are pending.
