A driver who allegedly hit a man in the Bronx early Sunday was arrested when he returned to the scene after initially fleeing, police said.
Officials said the 19-year-old victim who was hit on Baychester Avenue in Co-op City around 3 a.m. was in critical condition when he was taken to the hospital, but has since been upgraded to stable condition.
Charges are pending against the driver, who may operate a livery cab, police said.
