An 82-year-old man was fatally hit by a livery cab steps from his Brooklyn home, authorities said Saturday.
Joseph Ciresi was trying to cross Gerritsen Avenue in Sheepshead Bay when the 2005 Mercury Marquis struck him at around 7 p.m. Friday, the NYPD said.
Emergency responders declared the octogenarian dead at the scene.
The driver stayed at the location to wait for authorities and was not arrested, police said.
