A man was shot in the chest through the window of his Long Island home Tuesday night in what police said was a targeted attack.
Ross Reisner, 50, died from the gunshot wound, while another person in the home at the time was grazed in the arm, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.
Police said the shooter went into the yard of the Setauket home and fired through a window.
"It's clear that person was firing at them and was capable of seeing them from the position that they took in the yard," Detective Lt. Jack Fitzpatrick said.
Police declined to speculate on the motive. Fitzpatrick said Reisner worked as a horse trainer and may have also been involved in a construction business.
